  • Keep excess weight off by getting regular exercise and eating right.


  • Try to get at least 30 minutes of exercise everyday.
  • Find a partner to exercise with. It has been shown that by working with someone else, you will be more likely to stick to it.
  • Set goals that will keep you going.
  • Avoid making excuses as to why you can not exercise.

Be Smart About Sunlight

  • Avoid the sun during peak hours.

  • Protect your eyes with sunglasses.

Get Immunized

  • Stay up-to-date on your immunizations.

Avoid Risky Behavior

  • Practice safe sex
  • Do not use drugs.
  • Drink alcohol responsibly and in moderation.
  • Keep your body healthy.
  • Limit your exposure to known carcinogens.

Get Screened

  • Have a standing appointment with your doctor and specialists for regular cancer screenings.
  • If you have a concern, then let your doctor know.
  • Do not put off screenings. Early detection is key to having a chance to fight cancer.
