   Entocort EC: Generic Name: The generic name of the medicine is  Budesonide. Entocort EC is used for trating Crohn’s disease. Symptoms of  Crohn’s disease are abdominal pain and diarrheadue to intestinal inflammation.  Entocort EC contains anti-inflammatory steroid, which is released when the  medicine reaches intestine Precautions:  
      Entocort EC should be used with caution in the  patients of diabetes, glaucoma, high blood pressure, osteoporosis and  tuberculosis.If you have ulcer or cataract, you should inform  your doctor.If you have a plan to go for surgery including  dental surgery, inform your doctor, as you may have to increase the doses of  Entocort EC.If you have a liver or kidney problem, inform  your doctor before taking Entocort EC.If you are pregnant or plan to pregnant, you  should inform your doctor before taking entocort EC.People taking entocort EC, if exposed with some  common disease, such as chickenpox or measles, should inform doctor  immediately. To prevent the occurring of such disease you should not come in  contact with people suffering from chickenpox or measles.If you are allergic to steroids, you should  consult your doctor.Entocort EC should be prescribed with caution in  elderly patients.   Warning: 
      If you are breast-feeding, you should not take  Entocort EC.Entocort EC can cause allergy (swelling in face,  lips, mouth and problem in respiration). If you develop these effects, you  should consult your doctor immediately.If you are on Entocort EC, you should not take  grapefruit or grapefruit juice.Sometimes the combinations of medicine taken  together may change the effect of the drug. If you are taking any other  prescribed, nonprescribed, herbal or food supplements, specially azole  antifungals, protease inhibitors, marcolide antibiotics, you should inform your  doctor. . Overdose:
 
      An overdose of Entocort EC may cause acne, skin  discoloration and increased size of face and neck.Entocort EC can cause irregular menstrual  period.You should seek immediate medical help, if you  observe any of symptoms of infection.     Side Effects: 
      The common side effects of entocort EC include  dizziness, nausea, headache, vomiting, difficulty in breathing, gas, abdominal  and back painThe more severe side effects include bronchitis,  chest pain, acne, eczema, cramp, tremor, swelling in face/lip/mouth,  nervousness, vision problem, skin problems, hair problem, menstrual  irregularities, urination problem, worsening of crohn’s disease and worsening  of arthritis symptoms. Some  other side effects may also occur. In all such cases you should consult your  doctor.   How to take: 
      You should take the medicine only if prescribed  by the doctor.The Entocort EC is available in capsule forms.You should take the medicine daily in the  morning with water or as prescribed by your doctor. You should swallow the  medicine as whole without cutting or chewing the medicine.You should not increase or decrease the doses of  the medicine without consulting doctor.The medicine should not be stopped abruptly.  Doctors will gradually reduce the doses, before stopping the medicine.If you have missed a dose, take it as soon as  you remember. If it is the time to take next dose, follow your regular  schedule. Don’t take double dose at a time.    How to store:
